Summary: Whether you conduct program evaluation (PE) as an internal evaluator or you hire an external contractor, there are some fundamental issues that are good to review periodically to ensure the end product is what you need it to be. This session will provide:

– An overview of the program evaluation process
– Research and statistics lingo (translated into English)
– Types of research methods including a little bit of theory
– How to write the right PE questions for your project

Bio: Sukyeong Pi, Ph.D. is a Research Associate at Michigan State University and currently serves Project Excellence, A Program Evaluation Partnership with Michigan Rehabilitation Services, as the Project Director. She received her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from Michigan State University in 2006.  Prior to returning to MSU in 2010, she worked as a Research Associate in the Employment and Disability Institute at Cornell University (2008-2010) and the Department of Epidemiology at Michigan State University (2006-2008). Her research pursuits include program evaluation, transition for youth with disabilities, rehabilitation issues for people with developmental disabilities, and psychosocial aspects of disabilities.
